Ellenberg stepped down as HBO exec VP of programming last year and launched Media Res with support from Bron Studios this summer, winning a two-season order from Apple shortly after for an as-yet-unnamed drama set in the world of early-morning US network television, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
Media Res is also lining up series based on Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes From a Marriage and David Cronenberg’s Scanners.
