Russian remake for In Treatment

Channel One in Russia has premiered a local production of Dori Media’s Israeli format Be Tipul (In Therapy), which was previously reproduced for HBO as In Treatment.

AVK Production in Russia is producing the format titled Without Witnesses for Channel One, and it also recently premiered on French-Canadian channel TV5 Quebec titled En Therapie.

Be Tipul was originally created by Sheleg Productions, following the daily work of a psychologist who treats his patients but also seeks help himself.

It was most famously remade as In Treatment on HBO in the US, starring Gabriel Byrne and Dianne Wiest. This version claimed numerous Emmy and Golden Globe prizes.

In related news, Dori Media Contenidos, the production arm of Dori Media in Argentina, is coproducing a second season of the format with TV Publica titled En Terapia.
