RTVE takes on Cyber Group heroes

Spanish pubcaster RTVE has bought two upcoming children’s series from French animation house Cyber Group Studios, which is celebrating a bumper 2013.

Mini Ninjas

RTVE has acquired Zorro: The Chronicles (26×22’) and Mini Ninjas (52×11’) for its kids’ channel Clan.

Zorro: The Chronicles, a new incarnation of the iconic hero, is a CGI animated series produced by Cyber Group Studios in partnership with Blue Spirit Studios for France Télévisions and Rai in Italy. It’s due for delivery next year.

Mini Ninjas is based on the best-selling video game and app distributed internationally by Square Enix. The series is coproduced with TF1 Production and Enanimation for TF1 in France and Rai, and is due for delivery by the end of 2014.

According to Cyber Group, the RTVE deal follows a landmark year for the company after it tripled its international sales revenue in 2013, thanks to deals with the likes of Sprout in the US, Super RTL in Germany, France Télévisions, Rai, Disney and Cartoon Network.
