RTL readies Global Agency’s Love

Germany’s RTL has become the first broadcaster to order a local version of a live dating format from Turkish distributor Global Agency.

Love Is Calling is being produced by German production outfit Constantin Entertainment and will be known locally as Bei Anruf Liebe.

The show sees hopeful candidates introduced to the audience, after which viewers can register online or by phone to meet the singles in the studio. Once there, they must impress the singleton from behind a wall to secure a date.

The format, which debuts in Germany on August 25 and will air live on weekdays at 14:00, has also been optioned by French TV producer Herve Hubert.
