A Belgian broadcaster is coproducing a preschool animated series based on an app that allows its users to place their own pictures on the faces of its characters.

Contentinuum’s My Dream Jobs

RTBF will air My Dream Jobs (70×3′), a production from local prodco Contentinuum, in September.

Contentinuum pitched the series, which is being distributed by France’s Lagardère Rights, at Cartoon Forum last year.

The free app on which the show is based gets kids to take photos of their parents or of themselves, which are then transferred on to avatars of people in various jobs, such as an astronaut, trapeze artist or fireman.

The series, meanwhile, tells the story of a child discovering how fun some of the most famous jobs in the world can be, from pilot to entrepreneur to president.
