Rossiya orders Endemol Shine duo

Russian broadcaster Rossiya 1 has ordered two primetime shows from Endemol Shine Group, including a factual talent show.

Science-based talent series Gold of Nation

Gold of Nation is an eight-episode science-based talent series that sees 50 young geniuses face each other in a series of intellectual contests.

Rossiya 1 will also carry Everybody Dance!, an eight-part weekly series in which groups from different regions compete for the title of the country’s best dance troupe.

Both shows are being produced by WeiT Media, Endemol Shine’s Moscow-based production company, which is also behind You are a Super! for NTV, which debuted last weekend.

WeiT Media’s slate includes The Biggest Loser, which starts its third season on CTC Channel this weekend; Hunted for NTV; The Brain for Rossiya 1; and locally developed shows including NTV’s entertainment series Kinoshow.

The company is also behind a local version of drama The Bridge, which will run over two seasons totalling 20 episodes on NTV later this year, as well as a local adaptation of Danish crime drama The Killing, which aired in the autumn on Rossiya.
