Revolution extends Miramax deal

MIPCOM: The US feature film specialist behind Black Hawk Down, Maid in Manhattan and Anger Management has agreed a pact with Miramax for global TV and digital distribution of its titles.

Revolution Studios will now shop its content internationally through Miramax, including the recently acquired Morgan Creek International film library.

The deal expands the current arrangement that has seen Miramax sell Revolution’s content in the US since June 2012.

Titles include 40 Hollywood films including 13 Going on 30 and Maid in Manhattan, as well as the Morgan Creek library which includes Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

Revolution more recently developed and produced syndicated television series including Are We There Yet? for TBS; Anger Management, starring Charlie Sheen, with Lionsgate for FX; and Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza for GSN.
