CiTV takes on Archie ITV-owned UK children's diginet CiTV has commissioned local start-up Archie Productions to make a new studio-based magazine review show. The Cool Stuff Collective (13x20') is aimed at 7-12s and promises to showcase and road-test anything they might be interested in. Strands within the programme will include reviews of the latest gadgets, recreating the kinds of accidents kids have with them to see how they fare. Movie, music, DVD and game reviews will also be regular features, plus a segment called The Star with the Remote Control Car, in which famous folk try their skills with the latest radio-controlled vehicles. "It's a format we believe fills a huge editorial gap in the UK for our core audience," said CiTV programme manager Jamila Metran. Archie was set up two years ago by former Walt Disney UK development head and Talent Television series producer John Marley. Last year, Turner commissioned the company to produce six different version of Finnish format Staraoke. 29 Jul 2010 © C21 Media 2010
