Bravo to grow unscripted hours by 20% NBC Universal-owned US cable channel Bravo has confirmed five new reality series and a slew of renewals as part of a plan to lift unscripted programming on its schedule by 20%. The new shows include Bethenny's Getting Married and Thintervention With Jackie Warner, both of which have been previously reported as in development, plus 9 By Design, Double Exposure and Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. The first of the new series will follow Bethenny Frankel from Real Housewives of New York as she juggles a career and home life. The series is produced by Shed Media US, which is also making Thintervention, featuring the celebrity trainer from Work Out. 9 By Design, from Left/Right Inc, follows a husband and wife design team based in New York and debuts April 5, while celebrity photography docusoap Double Exposure is from Juma Entertainment and debuts the same month. Work of Art: The Next Great Artist is being produced by Pretty Matches and Magical Elves, and is essentially 'Artist Idol' in that it brings together 14 aspiring artists to compete for a solo show and a cash prize. Sarah Jessica Parker is among the executive producers. It premieres in June. As well as the newcomers, Bravo has confirmed renewals for Flipping Out, Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta and The Rachel Zoe Project. Gail Simmons is also to host Top Chef spin-off Just Desserts. The network's first topical live series, Watch What Happens: Live, returns for its winter season on Thursday, January 14. Frances Berwick, executive VP and general manager at Bravo Media, said the net had almost doubled its number of original hours over the past three years.
