Orange reveals IPTV subs numbers

Year-old French pay-TV operator Orange Cinéma Séries claims to have reached 324,000 subscribers.

Orange's five-channel movie package debuted on November 13, 2008 on its IPTV platform and this is the first time the company has broken out numbers for the bouquet.

The telco also said today that more than half Orange Cinéma Séries subscribers are using its catch-up TV service, with users watching an average of 6.7 videos per month, 70% of them US series.

France Telecom-owned Orange, which has three million-plus total IPTV subscriber, revealed yesterday that it's integrating Twitter with its mobile network to give customers direct access via their handsets. The move will also lead to integration with the Orange TV service in France, which has 2.5 million subscribers.
