Gong builds brand awareness Gong Media, which operates the Gong multiplatform animé network, has appointed a former Yahoo! executive as its new director of marketing for TV, mobile and the internet. Vanessa Albeck joins the company to oversee its marketing in Europe and the US, and will attempt to grow brand loyalty and manage the network's international content. She was previously director of marketing solutions at Yahoo! Gong carries content aimed at 15- to 24-year-olds, including Japanese animation, manga, longform series and magazines in more than 100 countries.
