Ireland gets Rights Stuff Dutch rights management group Rights Stuff is expanding across Europe, opening an Ireland-based arm, Rights Stuff Media. The new office will be headed up by Amory Schwartz, previously CEO of pan-European channel North American Sports Network, which he co-founded and which was acquired by ESPN in 2007. He has also had extensive experience working on entertainment projects for multiple platforms, including TV and online, as well as in content licensing, acquisition and channel distribution. Rights Stuff MD Wendy Bernfeld called Schwartz "a seasoned entrepreneur with a wealth of sports programming and channel development expertise." The pair have worked together twice in the past, first at the European Filmnet/ProNet/MNet/Nethold group and then at Canal Plus."Wendy has worked with an impressive list of media companies, and has developed great relationships with most of the major players as well as scouting and nurturing niche projects," Schwartz said. "We will utilise our complementary skill sets and experience to help companies realise the full value of their content, and exploit these assets creatively and effectively across all suitable platforms and business models." Rights Stuff specialises in acquiring and distributing IP across multiple platforms including film, TV, on-demand, IPTV and mobile, and offers consultancy services on rights management.
