Granada sells IPTV content into Taiwan
Agatha Christie's Poirot and Bugsy Malone are heading for Taiwan, after one of the territory's biggest IPTV players agreed a 300-hour high-definition package deal with Granada International.
 Chunghwa Telecom has acquired the Granada content to feed its IPTV/VoD service, which is currently available to nearly 450,000 subscribers and goes under the brand Multimedia On-Demand.
The package also includes dramas My Boy Jack, Murdoch Mysteries, Durham County and Ballet Shoes; factual series Planet Science and Brainiac; a number of Hollywood TV movies; and movie The Fabulous Baker Boys.
"Granada's programming is so diverse and has strong appeal across all age groups. We are sure that its HD programming will appeal to our subscribers throughout Taiwan," said Chao Min, director of digital content development at Chunghwa.
