Bullseye grows Joost offering, eyes mobile Zodiak TV-owned UK independent Bullseye Television has expanded its IPTV presence by splitting its existing Braindead channel on Joost into four genre-specific offerings from next month. From the middle of next month, Bullseye will introduce the Braindead Comedy, Braindead Crime, Braindead Sport and Braindead Reality brands on Joost. These brands will also be expanded on to other platforms, including channels featuring shortform content on mobile. Bullseye MD Jorg Roth said the move was due to Braindead "generating income much earlier than expected" and added that the channel was among the top 20 channels on Joost for the five months following its launch. As for programming, Braindead Comedy will feature titles like World of Stupid, Extreme Russia and America’s Dumbest; and Braindead Crime will include Cops Uncut, World’s Most Stupid Criminals and Hot Pursuit Special. Braindead Sport, in turn, will feature shows like Ultimate Poker and Natural Born Racers, while Against All Odds, Ouch, Jez Rose, Mad World, Miracles Happen and Britain’s Most Embarrassing Parents will go out via Braindead Reality. "We are confident that there will be high demand for this extended range of programming, which is another example of Zodiak’s strategy to get its shows out into the global digital space to reach as many viewers as possible," added Roth.
