Canuck outing for Toei's Pretty Cure Japan's Toei Animation has sold the first season of its girl-skewing action-adventure series Pretty Cure to Corus Entertainment's tween network YTV in Canada.The show will launch in Q1 2009 and will be the first North American outing for Pretty Cure, which premiered on TV Asahi and Animax in Japan and has gone on to air on Jetix and Spanish channels Clan TV and Cuatro. Season one introduces main charactes Natalie and Hannah, junior high school classmates who are given the power to transform into superheroes and become guardians of the Earth, fighting against the forces of evil.
