Nova TV still sweet on Forbidden Love Bulgarian broadcaster Nova TV is extending its affair with FremantleMedia telenovela format Forbidden Love, acquiring rights to a second season. Nova will air 98x26' episodes of Forbidden Love, known locally as Zabranena Lyubov, for its second run in 2010. The broadcaster has signed a deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises which also grants it further transmissions and repeats of the first season, which ran from October 2008 to June this year. Zabranena Lyubov revolves around two families - the affluent Konstantinovs and the low-income Belevs - who are linked together by siblings who are unaware of each other. The format started life in Australia as a Grundy drama called Sons and Daughters, which Fremantle sold on to territories including Sweden, Indonesia and Greece before it was transformed into Forbidden Love for ARD by Grundy UFA in Germany. 23 Nov 2009 © C21 Media 2009
