Big Brother deals in South America Global content factory Endemol has inked a number of deals in South America including a three-year Big Brother renewal deal with Brazil's TV Globo. The deal will see Endemol produce series six, seven and eight of the format for TV Globo, with Big Brother six scheduled to launch in early 2006. Elsewhere, Peru's ATV, Chile's La Red and Ecuador's Telesistema have joined forces on Big Brother Pacifico. It will be produced by Endemol Andino, Endemol's new Colombian production arm. And in Mexico, Televisa has signed a deal for the fourth series of Big Brother VIP. In other South American deals for Endemol, TV Globo has acquired the rights for series four of reality hit Chains of Love, which starts airing at the end of May and Colombia's RTI will produce blockbuster game show Deal or No Deal for Caracol at the end of June. The deals come in the aftermath of MipTV which also saw Endemol taking an option for All3Media-owned Lion TV's new format Cash Cab for Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The show is set to air on ITV1 in June in the UK. Jules Grant 10 May 2005 © C21 Media 2005 C21 Home | Formats Lab Home | Printer Friendly | Email a Friend |
