Renegade names development director

UK prodco Renegade Pictures has appointed an exec from FremantleMedia UK-owned Boundless Pictures as director of development.

Hannah Brownhill

Hannah Brownhill, who held a similar role at Boundless, takes up the newly created role immediately, reporting to director of programmes Harry Lansdown and CEO Alex Cooke.

Brownhill joins Warner Bros-owned Renegade following the departure of creative director Alexis Price to newly formed indie Koska last year.

Over her career, Brownhill has worked on shows including Channel 4’s Four Rooms and BBC2’s Great British Railway Journeys and Would Like to Meet.

As head of development at Boundless, she secured formats such as The Week the Landlords Moved In for BBC1 and BBC3’s World’s Toughest Jobs.

Lansdown said he was delighted to have Brownhill on board to help “build our slate of factual series and formats.”

“Her great strength is her intuitive understanding of the world around her, which she then translates into compelling television,” he added.
