Reelz polkas with High Noon series

ReelzChannel in the US has ordered a new reality series based around a polka band.

Polka Kings, produced by ITV-owned High Noon Entertainment, follows the lives of members of The Chardon Polka Band as they try to survive each other and keep their personal and professional lives from derailing their quest for stardom.

The half-hour series begins production this spring and is exec produced by Jim Berger, Scott Feeley and Patrick Jager.

High Noon is behind Tough Love, Cake Boss (TLC) and Guinness World Records Unleashed (TruTV).

In 2013, High Noon partnered with 20 networks and produced nearly 40 series, pilots and specials. Other shows on its production slate include Dude You’re Screwed (Discovery), Next Great Baker (TLC), Guinness World Records Unleashed (truTV) as well as Latin American docuseries Divas Del Azucar (Tr3s) and Familia de Circo (Tr3s).
