Paul Hanrahan will leave the company at the end of the year to seek a “new opportunity” in the broadcasting sector.

His departure has led to a reorganisation of Reef’s management team, headed by CEO Richard Farmbrough.

Rob Dersley, who has executive produced Reef series such as Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is for BBC1, has been appointed director of production. He will report to Farmbrough while working with the Zinc management team, beginning on January 1.

“Paul feels he needs a change of scene and a new challenge and he departs with the best wishes and thanks of his colleagues at Reef,” Farmbrough.

Reef’s management team now comprises of Rachel Platt, head of features and formats, Ben Weston as head of factual and Justine Field as acting (maternity cover) head of production.

Reef was acquired by Zinc Media, which was then known as Ten Alps, last year.

The deal saw Reef, which is behind More4’s Selling Houses With Amanda Lamb, join firms such as Brook Lapping and Films of Record in the production group’s stable.
