Red Arrow spears int’l drama for Mip

German distributor Red Arrow International (RAI) is bringing dramas from Scandinavia, Russia and Canada to Mipcom next month.

Scandi thriller Farang (8×60′), produced by Warner Bros for C More and TV4 in Sweden, follows a former criminal living in Thailand who has his cover blown when his 15-year-old daughter comes looking for him.

Mata Hari (12×60′), meanwhile, was produced by Star Media for Channel One in Russia and Inter in Ukraine and charts the life of the eponymous exotic dancer, courtesan and infamous First World War spy.

The Romeo Section: Assassins (10×60′) is a Vancouver-set espionage thriller about a veteran agent who sets out to recruit a high-value informant. It airs in Canada on CBC.

Formats on RAI’s slate include social experiment show Look Me in the Eye and Kiss Bang Love, a dating format from the creators of Married at First Sight that is now in production for FYI in the US.

Also launching at Mipcom is adult animated comedy The Cyanide & Happiness Show (15×30′), produced for NBC’s Seeso platform and based on the cult comic of the same name.
