Raven flies back to Disney

That's So Raven

That’s So Raven

Disney Channel in the US has ordered a spin-off to its mid-2000s supernatural sitcom That’s So Raven, featuring the star of the original show.

The as-yet untitled series is currently in development at the Mouse House with Raven-Symoné, who played the lead character in That’s So Raven between 2003 and 2007.

The Emmy-nominated series comprised four seasons and followed a teenage fashion designer with psychic powers.

It was Disney Channel’s first original multi-camera production and was translated into languages including French, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese, German, Italian and Portuguese.

The spin-off follows Raven’s character as a divorced mother to a pre-teen son and daughter, one of whom has inherited her ability to catch glimpses of the future.

Writer/producer partners Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff are onboard alongside Raven-Symoné, who will executive produce. That’s So Raven previously generated a spin-off in 2007’s Cory in the House.
