Quest Red detects paranormal activity

MIPTV: Discovery’s free-to-air factual entertainment channel Quest Red in the UK has acquired an unscripted paranormal show focusing on medical institutions from Kew Media Group (KMG).

Haunted Hospitals (13×60’), which focuses on supernatural activity inside hospitals, nursing homes, morgues and mental institutions, is produced by KMG-backed Canadian prodco Bristow Global Media (BGM) for Blue Ant Media’s Canadian channel T+E.

It was developed by BGM’s president and CEO Julie Bristow, VP of development Sean Connolly and VP of content Marlo Miazga.

“We’re all familiar with that inevitable feeling we get walking into a hospital, but this show shines a spotlight on the reasons why. Chilling, uncomfortable and spookily relatable,” said Stephen Joy, Kew Media Group’s VP of sales and distribution.

The series will launch on Quest Red in the UK and Ireland later this year.
