Koby Gal-Raday joins ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland on November 15, taking the newly created position of senior VP of international coproductions and documentaries.

He arrives from Reshet Broadcasting, where he was in charge of the scripted, documentary and cinema departments, having been with the company since 2008.

Prior to Reshet, Gal-Raday was co-founder and artistic director of Israel’s July August Productions, acquired by ProSieben’s Red Arrow Entertainment Group two years ago.

In his new role, he will report to ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland CEO Wolfgang Link, with responsibility for expanding international copro activities at the German TV station group in the fiction and non-fiction categories.

Thomas von Hennet, VP of international coproductions and documentaries, will report to Gal-Raday, as the firm sets about building on previous success including The Pillars of the Earth, D-Day and Supervolcano.

“International coproductions represent an important part of our top-quality programming mix. Under the leadership of Koby Gal-Raday we will expand our activities further in this area,” said Link.

Gal-Raday’s production credits include the 2007 feature film The Band’s Visit, which received more than 70 international awards and the highest overseas box office receipts in the history of Israeli cinema.
