Gal-Raday will leave his role as senior VP of international coproduction and documentaries next month after leading ProSieben’s scripted and factual operations since his appointment in October 2014.

Last year, he was behind an open call for scripted coproductions, which led to more than 800 submissions from 38 countries. Several projects are now in development following the appeal for ideas for both episodic, returning primetime series and serialised “must-see TV” miniseries.

He said: “In a very short time we were able to establish close connections with leading production companies, creators and broadcasters across the globe and engage in unique new developments and productions.

“I thank the management, colleagues and my hugely talented team at ProSiebenSat.1 for this exciting and dynamic joint journey, wish them every success and am certain they will continue to create great television. Now I’m ready to welcome new opportunities.”

Wolfgang Link, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland, described Gal-Raday as a “passionate TV professional and an innovative thinker.”

“As a visionary content and business expert with sharp, creative instincts and crisp execution, he has intensified our presence in the international scripted market with remarkable results. We thank him and wish him great success going forward.”

Gal-Raday’s next move is not yet known, while ProSieben is yet to confirm his replacement.

Prior to joining ProSiebenSat.1, Gal-Raday held several senior film and TV executive positions including head of dama, comedy, documentary and cinema at Israel’s Channel 2. He was also a founding co-manager of July-August Productions (The A Word, The Office).
