Propagate Content, the A+E Networks -backed US prodco lead by Ben Silverman and Howard T Owens, has added a business affairs exec from ITV Studios to its team.

Veteran media and senior business affairs executive Ivan Garel-Jones is coming onboard as chief operating officer.

Garel-Jones joins from ITV Studios America where he was most recently executive VP of business affairs. While there he was involved in the purchase of production companies including Leftfield Entertainment, Gurney Productions and High Noon Entertainment.

He will oversee all legal and business affairs and operations of the firm, reporting to Electus alumnus Silverman and former Nat Geo president Howard T Owens, who are co-CEOs of the fledgling firm.

The firm has also announced the earlier hire of Isabel San Vargas as head of production, while Linh Le has joined the business development team.

San Vargas will report to Garel-Jones, overseeing all production operations including series, specials, pilots and development.

She was previously senior VP of production for Pilgrim Studios, overseeing a broad slate of content that included The Ultimate Fighter, American Chopper and Street Outlaws.

Le will oversee strategic planning and partnership initiatives for new business ventures.
