Propagate gets on Colombia’s Level

Propagate Content, the LA-based production company owned by Ben Silverman and Howard T Owens, is set to make a local version of Colombian singing format On Another Level.

The original format debuted on Caracol Television in Colombia on March 30 and became the number-one audience programme on primetime in the South American country.

The show sees professional singers perform a song in the genre of their expertise.

Propagate will now adapt the format for the US market, following a deal with Caracol International. A broadcaster is not yet attached.

The company recently announced it was adapting Aaron Mahnke’s podcast into an unscripted 10-part series.

Former National Geographic Channel president Owens set up Propagate with funding from A+E Networks last year with long-time collaborator Ben Silverman joining following his exit from Electus.
