Price is right for Thunderclap

Thunderclap Media, the UK prodco set up by former ITV commissioner Claire Zolkwer with production group Tinopolis, has hired its first executive producer.

Susy Price is joining the firm, which launched in October last year, to help deliver its slate of content and formats.

Price has spent 15 years in the TV business running live and studio shows in the entertainment, factual entertainment and reality genres, including Big Brother, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Don’t Tell The Bride, The Salon and Britain’s Next Top Model.

Price was creative director of Big Brother at Endemol Shine Group and more recently executive producer at Tiger Aspect, overseeing the revival of Channel 4 format Streetmate. She has also developed a number of factual entertainment and reality formats at Second Star and Studio Ramsay, part of Objective Media Group.

Zolkwer, Thunderclap’s MD and a former commissioning editor for comedy and entertainment at commercial broadcaster ITV, said: “Susy has an outstanding track record and has worked on some ground-breaking shows, so I am thrilled she is joining Thunderclap to apply her valuable expertise.

“We already have a number of unique projects in development and Susy will be instrumental in making them happen.”
