Power herds nets for wildlife docs

Broadcasters including Discovery in the US and Viasat in Scandinavia have picked up wildlife documentaries via UK indie distributor Power.

Discovery’s Animal Planet channel has taking Saving Rhino Phila for its US feed. The doc focuses on a rhino that battles for survival after being shot in the head by poachers.

Viasat in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, Kim Media in South Korea and France Télévisions have taken Paseka The Easter Elephant, which focuses on the journey of a young elephant abandoned by her herd.

France Télévisions, along with Telewizja Polska, also acquired All The President’s Elephants, which charts dedicated activist Sharon Pincott’s campaign to save Zimbabwe’s declining elephant population.

All three docs are produced by South African indie NHU Africa.
