Apple’s Planet of the Apps eyes China

The producers of Apple’s first original series, Planet of the Apps, have said they are aiming to bring the project to China “very soon.”

Ben Silverman

The 10-episode series, produced by LA-based Propagate Content, debuted on Apple Music in the US earlier this month.

A new episode will be available exclusively on Apple Music every Tuesday, while the first episode has also been made available to watch for free on iTunes.

The competition format features the likes of Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow and will.i.am advising hopeful app developers and is a coproduction between Propagate and Apple.

“We hope to bring this project to China very soon,” said Propagate International, the distribution arm of Howard T Owens and Ben Silverman’s Propagate.
