Pirates board Super RTL

German children’s channel Super RTL has picked up a Canadian preschool cartoon about a crew of art-loving pirates.

Pirates - Adventures In Art

Pirates – Adventures in Art (46×12′), commissioned by CBC in Canada and produced by DHX Media, follows a gang of pirates on a mission to restore lost artworks and learn about art history.

Previously, DHX Media has sold the toon to pubcaster KBS and digital broadcaster Kids Talk Talk in Korea, Discovery Kids in Latin America, Singapore’s Mediacorp and Malaysian broadcaster Astro.

Carsten Göttel, director of programming at Super RTL, said the show was a perfect fit for its preschool slot Toggolino.
