Pilgrim picks WME exec

US-based Pilgrim Media Group has hired a WME executive as its senior VP of business and legal affairs, heading up deal-making across all development, sales, talent and distribution.

David Harris reports to Pilgrim chief operating officer and general counsel Gretchen Stockdale. He joins from agency WME, where he had served as a business affairs executive since 2008.

Harris negotiated agreements on behalf of the agency’s unscripted and scripted output, as well as digital and mobile gaming clients.

He also worked with WME’s actors, writers, producers, directors and hosts, and negotiated agreements for projects including Snoop Dogg’s The Jokers Wild for TBS and Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party for VH1.

Lionsgate-backed Pilgrim produces unscripted and scripted content for TV and digital platforms, as well as feature films. Its output includes Discovery’s Fast N’ Loud, Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s for OWN and The Ultimate Fighter for FS1.
