Pickard joins Nevision board

UK producer and financer Nevision has added industry veteran Nigel Pickard to its board and hired an experienced BBC producer to develop its drama slate.

Former Zodiak Kids UK boss Pickard is joining the company’s board to work with the founding team, while Sharon Bloom is coming on board on the production side.

Pickard, who was previously director of programmes at UK commercial broadcaster ITV and controller of children’s at the BBC, will continue with his role as senior executive and board member at Matthew and David Frank’s new firm Dial Square 86. He is also president of the Franks’ new online distribution platform TRX.

Bloom has worked as a producer and executive producer for the BBC and ITV on series including Peak Practice and Murder in Suburbia. She most recently produced three seasons of BBC crime series Silent Witness and will now develop a slate of high-end drama projects aimed at the global market for Nevision.

Nevision, launched in London in 2013, specialises in the development, production and international exploitation of television drama and unscripted programming.

Its founding team includes CEO James Cabourne and executives Neil Zeiger, Keith Evans and Tim Buxton.
