PGS to sell A Squared content

Paris-based brand manager PGS Entertainment will distribute animated content from US toon studio A Squared Entertainment (A2E).

The exclusive deal gives PGS distribution rights to all A2E programmes, which include The Secret KidVenture Club (aka Secret Millionaire’s Club), the toon featuring Warren Buffet that teaches kids about global business.

PGS will be in Cannes with the series, plus a 1×75′ pilot of “reality superhero series” Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, which will act as a pilot for a 26-episode series; preschooler Rainbow Valley Heroes (13×30′); and ‘create-it-yourself’ series Martha & Friends.

Furthermore, A2E, which has joint venture with India’s Tata Elxsi called A Squared Elxsi Entertainment (A2E2), will unveil another four series with PGS later this year.

The deal comes after A2E2 appointed former KidsCo CEO and co-founder Paul Robinson as international president, based out of London. Toronto’s Kaleidoscope reps A2E2’s content in Canada. PGS represents international TV brands such as The Little Prince, Chaplin & Co and The Jungle Bunch.

“We share the same vision of bringing premium content, iconic characters and strong storylines to kids throughout the world, making PGS a perfect fit for the representation of our shows,” said A2E co-founder Andy Heyward.
