Peg & Cat add up sales

Broadcasters around the world including RTP in Portugal have acquired the PBS Kids series Peg & Cat, which helps children learn maths concepts and skills.

French-language education channel TFO and Télé-Québec in Canada, as well as MBC Kids in United Arab Emirates, will join RTP in airing the 80×12′ toon, about a spirited little girl and her feline sidekick.

The series was produced by animator and children’s writer Jennifer Oxley and Billy Aronson and is animated and distributed by 9 Story Entertainment for producer The Fred Rogers Company and PBS Kids in the US.

It premiered earlier this year on Treehouse in Canada and originally debuted on PBS Kids in the US in the fall of 2013.

It has already been picked up by broadcasters such as SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland, TVNZ in New Zealand, TG4 in Ireland and Canal+ Family in France, Super RTL in Germany and ABC TV in Australia.
