Inside The Court of Henry VIII, which will air on April 7 at 20.00 as part of PBS’ Masterpiece strand, covers the entire reign of the controversial monarch. It is being produced by UK indie The Ideas Room and directed by Peter Chinn.

Wolf Hall, which stars Homeland actor Damian Lewis as King Henry VIII, will debut on PBS on April 5.

The programme was BBC2’s most watched original drama series in a decade and is an adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s bestselling novels that chart the meteoric rise of Thomas Cromwell in King Henry VIII’s Tudor court.
