Pawn again at TruTV

US cablenet TruTV is preparing a nine-part spin-off of its popular reality show Hardcore Pawn to premiere later this year.

Hardcore Pawn: Chicago (9×30′) is a new version of the original Hardcore Pawn format, which focused on a pawn shop in Detroit and has run for six seasons so far on TruTV.

The original was produced by Zodiak USA but Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment is working on the Chicago version, which will be set in the city’s Royal Pawn Shop and focuses on the two brothers that own it.

Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey are the executive producers.
