Oz, Euro nets explore Happy Valley

Australia’s ABC, Sweden’s SVT and NRK in Norway are among seven broadcasters to have picked up a BBC police drama.

Happy Valley (6×50′), written by Sally Wainwright, was produced by the UK’s Red Production Company and debuted on BBC1 in the UK earlier this year.

It follows the personal and professional life of a dedicated police officer whose world is turned upside down when the man she thinks is responsible for her daughter’s death is released from prison.

YLE in Finland, Iceland’s RUV, TVNZ in New Zealand and Canal+ in France will also air the show, which is distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide.
