Ovation picks two from Endemol Shine

MIPCOM: US cablenet Ovation has acquired two documentaries from Endemol Shine International, including one going behind the scenes of Will.i.am’s world tour.

On the Road with Will.i.am has been picked up from the distribution arm of the mega-indie by the arts-focused channel.

The 1×60’ doc, produced by Update Productions, has access to all areas of the singer’s tour and will premiere on Wednesday October 7.

Ovation has also taken Reinventing the Royals, a two-parter about the 20 year battle between the British monarchy and media.

Set to premiere in January, the Genie Productions doc is told through first hand testimony of ex-royal advisors, editors, photographers and journalists as well as an extensive film archive.
