Orange, DailyMotion launch 3D web channel

NATPE 2012French broadband firm Orange and online on-demand platform Dailymotion – of which Orange owns 51% – are launching an online 3D channel.

The as-yet unnamed channel will be available via all stereoscopic 3D-compatible PCs as well as in anaglyph 3D with glasses for other PCs. The channel is also due to launch on mobile phones in February 2012.

Orange will supply the 3D programming, which it already carries on its Orange 3D IPTV channel. This includes event programming as well as a new half-hour 3D talkshow produced by 3ème Oeil, about what’s new in 3D.

More 3D content will also be offered, including documentaries, movies and music, as well as the wellbeing and relaxation channel MyZen 3D.
