UK-based distributor Electric Sky has sold two Olympic-themed documentaries as part of a raft of deals across Europe and South America.

With the 2012 Olympics in London now just seven months away, factual content on the games is expected to be in high demand.

RTL-owned German news channel n-tv has bought Going for Green: Britain’s 2012 Dream (1×48′) on the environmental impact of the games, produced by Darlow Smithson.

The programme was previously picked up by Australia’s Seven Network, The Living Channel in New Zealand and China’s Wuhan TV.

Russian channel Telekanal has also picked up Going for Green from Electric Sky along with 20 hours of other documentaries including Battle for Haiti [1] and Terror in Mumbai (both 1×52′) and produced by Quicksilver Media.

Electric Sky has also sold Game Changer: London 2012 (1×60′) to VRT in Belgium.

The distributor, which recently announced it would be opening a Hong Kong office, has also sold a number of its other titles.

Two series of Glamour Puds have been picked up by HRT in Croatia and one-off doc Guilty Pleasures – about the readers of Mills and Boon novels that originally aired on the UK’s Channel 4 – has gone to SVT in Sweden.

HSM in Argentina has bought a package of titles including Studio Z produced The Gucci’: The Last Fashion Victim.
