OLN preps global Escape

Canadian network OLN is bolstering its originals slate with an order for a 12-part show about a famous escape artist.

Escape Or Die! (12×30′) will premiere in spring and is being produced by Farpoint Films, with Canada’s Peace Point Entertainment handling international distribution.

The show will focus on performer Dean Gunnarson and explore how he prepares for a series of daring escapes, which will take part in major cities around the world.

Gunnarson has previously appeared in NBC specials including The World’s Most Dangerous Magic. Farpoint’s Kyle Bornais and Peace Point’s Les Tomlin will exec produce on Escape or Die!.

OLN has already ordered two original magic shows for its 2015 slate, including a coproduction between Toronto’s Yap Films and the UK’s ZigZag Productions.
