Objective’s Fox forms prodco

Objective Media Group (OMG) America’s executive VP Jimmy Fox has launched a production company under the All3Media banner that focuses on scripted and unscripted content.

Based in LA, Main Event Media will sit under the All3Media America banner and will be part of All3Media-owned OMG.

Main Event will be All3 America’s 21st production company, joining the likes of Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Productions, Studio Ramsay and Studio Lambert Associates.

Emmy nominee Fox, who has spent the past three years running the US operations for Objective, has produced both scripted and unscripted programming.

“It seemed my first choice for the company name, 22nd Century Fox, came with a slew of legal ramifications. So, Main Event Media it is. Our goal moving forward is the same as it has always been: to take our work extremely seriously… ourselves, not so much,” Fox said.

Since Fox’s arrival in early 2014, Objective has received six series orders, including CNN’s United Shades of America with W Kamau Bell – which Fox exec produced, earning an Emmy nomination – and E!’s anticipated upcoming drama series The Arrangement.

Fox will continue to produce both series under the Main Event Media banner.

Most recently, he developed and exec produced Investigation Discovery series Is OJ Innocent? The Missing Evidence, which premieres on January 15. Fox will continue to serve as executive producer to the Starz adaptation of Peep Show, the comedy format under the Objective banner that ran for nine seasons in the UK.

Under the Main Street banner, he will also continue to make Hollywood Darlings for POP as well as true-crime series It Was Him: The Many Murders of Ed Edwards for Spike.

Layla Smith, CEO of Objective Media Group and Greg Lipstone, CEO of All3Media America, will work with Fox across Main Event Media’s slate in both the US and the UK.

Prior to Objective, Fox was head of creative development at US-based Electus, where he oversaw the company’s scripted and unscripted portfolio.

Objective has restructured its operations over the past 18 months and has launched an entertainment arm and a factual entertainment label.
