Dorothy Crompton has been named VP of format licensing and reports to Gina Brogi, president of global distribution at the US studio, working from LA.

Crompton heads TCFTVD’s scripted format business and advises its international sales offices on their respective scripted format sales and strategy.

In addition, she manages the finished local production assets to boost TCFTVD’s sales of local series to international buyers.

Recent scripted remakes to come out of the TCFTVD library include 24, which has been adapted in India and is currently in its second season.

Crompton has more than 20 years of international television sales experience, having also been a senior VP at Eyeworks International and a senior VP of international sales and administration at Rive Gauche Television.

“Dorothy has a strong record of launching US hit television series as localised formats around the world and has established long-standing relationships with many leading international production companies,” said Mark Kaner, head of TCFTVD.
