Noggin unveils new interactive schedule

Noggin, the educational network from Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop, is kicking off autumn with new interactive programming for kids beginning September 10.

Sponk!, Noggin's new improvisational comedy gameshow will premiere on Monday September 10 at 21:30 (ET) and will air regularly Monday nights at 21:30 (ET) and 18.30 (PT).

Each half-hour features two teams of three players (ages 12-17), who face off in head-to-head improvisational games based on suggestions taken from kids online at Noggin.com.

Immediately after the broadcast, viewers can chat live with the kids from the show.

The Hubbub, Noggin's weekday interactive primetime block for older kids, moves to a new time this autumn, airing Monday through Friday from 20:00 to 22:00 (ET), beginning Monday September 10.

Noggin is introducing Chattervision to The Hubbub when it launches September 10. Chattervision makes TV viewing an interactive experience and gives viewers the opportunity to watch their favourite shows, ask questions, express their opinions, and then see their thoughts on the TV screen.

During each half-hour of Chattervision, kids will see a repeat of a show from Noggin's primetime line-up.

The URL With Phred Show, Noggin's first original animated character, is back with an all-new show, The (You Are Live) URL With Phred Show. This hour-long programming block is hosted by Phred, the pickle mascot, and his friends from the dot of Noggin.com.

The show allows a variety of kid-made web creations from Noggin.com to be seen live on national television.

Little Bear, the half-hour animated children's series, comes to Noggin from Nickelodeon. The show will premiere during the pre-school block on September 10 at 10:00 (ET) and will air regularly weekdays at 10:00 and 14:00 (ET).

Little Bear, a co-production between Nickelodeon and Canada's Nelvana, is based on the popular children's books illustrated by Maurice Sendak and written by Else Holmelund Minarik. It is about the adventures of a curious young cub and his animal friends.

Each episode consists of three seven-and-a-half minute stories that follow an adventure, a game or an act of imagination in Little Bear's day.
