Nickelodeon Networks Australia and New Zealand is hiring a long-time Foxtel exec to oversee its pay TV channels, digital platforms, live events, consumer products, local production and programme sales.

Ben Cox will join in mid-February as VP and general manager, reporting to Ben Richardson, senior VP and general manager of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Australia and New Zealand.

Cox takes over from Jihee Nam, who is set to leave at the end of this month after holding the post ^[1] since May 2014. She has been with Viacom since 2005 but is now relocating to Singapore for a role with Instagram.

Cox joined Foxtel in 2008 as the pay TV platform’s business development manager. He served as head of channel partnerships from 2011 and was promoted to general manager of content aggregation last July.

He has been an alternate director on the board of Nickelodeon Australia Management, the joint venture between VIMN and Foxtel that operates all Nickelodeon-branded businesses in the two countries, since 2014.
