Endemol's Johnson out Endemol’s global head of marketing and brand partnerships Paul Johnson is stepping down from the job after less than a year. Johnson joined Endemol in January this year, working closely with chief commercial officer Tom Toumazis to rebrand the company and launch its worldwide distribution arm. However, he will now leave the position next month. Toumazis will add Johnson's day-to-day responsibilities to his own. An Endemol representative told C21 the parting was amicable. Johnson will stay on in a consultancy capacity for a number of further unnamed projects in the first quarter of 2010. Endemol Group chairman and CEO Ynon Kreiz added: "Paul has carried out a very valuable role during a time of significant change at Endemol. We will miss his energy, dedication and motivation, which have been second to none. We wish him all the very best for the future." Before joining Endemol, Johnson was director of television at Reed Midem, responsible for growing trade fares Mipcom, MipTV, MipDoc and Mip Junior. Jesse Whittock 4 Dec 2009 © C21 Media 2009 |
