BBCWW builds up US office BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) is bolstering its US presence in the sales, coproduction and kids arenas by splitting the stateside role of senior VP of television sales, coproductions and children's. The newly created position executive VP of sales and coproductions will be filled by current director of content acquisitions Matt Forde, who will relocate from London to New York. Forde will spearhead sales and copro activity across all programming genres in the US and Latin America. He will report to Garth Ancier, president of BBCWW America, and Steve Macallister, MD of BBCWW's sales and distribution team. "Matt's unique combination of sales experience, sharp business skills and encyclopaedic knowledge of the BBC make him the ideal candidate for this key role and helps us to further support building the BBC in the US," Macallister said. Current VP of TV sales, coproductions and children's Susanna Pollack, meanwhile, will become senior VP of children's and children's business development. As well as heading sales of BBCWW's children's properties in North and South America, Pollack will focus on the company's attempts to launch preschool channel CBeebies in the US. "We have ambitious and exciting plans for our children's business in the US, and we're lucky to benefit from the experience and passion Susanna brings to the table," said Neil Ross Russell, MD of BBCWW Children's.
