Hulu hires Larcher for expansion Hulu has poached Johannes Larcher from search engine company Overture as its senior VP of international, charged with leading the video portal's expansion efforts outside the US. ![]() He also served as international VP and general manager for social networking site Friendster, and worked on now-defunct betting site Pikum. Larcher takes over international scouting duties from Hulu's senior VP of content acquisition and distribution Andy Forsell, who remains with the company. The move is the latest step in Hulu's bid to launch internationally. C21 revealed last October that Hulu had been in talks with now-defunct UK video-on-demand project Kangaroo over a possible UK launch.
