CBS ups mobility with Sprint CBS is making full-length episodes of its hit drama Jericho and the CBS evening news with Katie Couric available via mobile phones in the US, following a deal with the Sprint network. Entire episodes of Jericho will be offered on-demand, alongside clips of other CBS primetime shows including CSI, Numb3rs, NCIS and Survivor, plus The Late Show With David Letterman. The CBS evening news with Katie Couric, meanwhile, will go out live to Sprint customers each day, with the Sprint deal allowing CBS to sell advertising across all its programming offered via the network."With this agreement, CBS is on the forefront of providing a scalable advertising solution for media buyers who want ad time on CBS's mobile-video content," said CBS mobile executive VP Cyriac Roeding. CBS already has mobile partnerships in place with Verizon and Cingular, as well as MediaFlo, the Qualcomm-owned mobile TV broadcast technology company. Jonathan Webdale 26 Mar 2007 © C21 Media 2007
